Amateurs all of you! Do any of you understand transfer windows? If we are interested in a player they have to reside with Julie B in her basement whilst we trash out terms with their agent.  Dear me and thought people on here were knowledgeable.

ITK silliness yes, but I have it on good authority Celtic need to sell and raise at least £15m this summer.

That was before they lost tonight which is a great result if we are in for him.

Not sure who else they have that they can raise money with to be honest.

From what I've seen I think I'd prefer Watkins to be honest. Haven't seen much of Eduoard though.

They still need to sell really.

Whether it'll be him I don't know.

Them missing out on champions league is huge. I think they'd sell for under £35m.

Celtic don't have anyone else that will fetch 15 million plus. Would need to sell four of five players

Édouard would cost twice as much as Wilson, if he was an option I think we would have been trying to sign him ahead of Wilson in the first place.

If Wilson goes to Newcastle and we go for an alternative more likely it will be someone in a similar price range.

Are they that skint that they have to raise a big wedge of cash?

Not skint as such, but no team in Europe has suffered more through covid. 36% some £42m of their turnover of about £116m comes from gate receipts, no tv money. Last year they made a profit of £13m. which included some CL money. Knock off that £42m and no CL they could be looking at a £35 to £40 million loss.

He'd also be worth at least 100 million if he score 15-20 goals for us  😂

No he wouldn't, and not sure what that has to do with anything, there are a lot players that if we sign and they were to do well we'd make a big profit on them, but that doesn't mean to say we can afford to buy them, or that those players even want to join us.

Odsonne Edouard scores for France Under-21s as Celtic striker back with a bang from injury woes

The 22-year-old came off the bench for his nation after recovering from a knock.

Celtic have been handed an Odsonne Edouard fitness boost after the striker came off the bench for the France Under-21 side - and got on the scoresheet for good measure.

The 22-year-old missed his side's two games before the international break, including the costly Champions League exit at the hands of Ferencvaros.

He was nonetheless included in Sylvain Ripoll's Bleuets squad for the matches against Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Edouard didn't start against the Georgians on Friday night, with Nice youngster Amin Gouiri starting in his place.

With 72 minutes on the clock though the Celtic star replaced Gouiri, marking his return to action.

France held a 1-0 lead when Edouard was introduced, though it wasn't an altogether convincing performance.

After a sluggish start in which the visitors dominated the ball but failed to move it quickly enough, with Jeff Reine-Adelaide's injury hampering them in attack.

They took the lead through an own goal shortly before the break.

Matteo Guendouzi of Arsenal swung in a free-kick and, under pressure from Gouiri, Ilia Beriashvili turned the ball past his own goalkeeper.

French goalkeeper Alban Lafont was called into action after the hour mark, coming off his line quickly to smother at the feet of a Georgian striker.

Irakli Azarov called Lafont into action again a few minutes later, with Ripoll then turning to his bench.

He sent on Edouard coming on alongside Bryan MBeumo and Boubakary Soumare.

The changes had the desired effect, with Mbuemo brought down by Luka Gugeshashvili for a stoppage time penalty.

It was of course Edouard who stepped up, with the Celtic striker coolly converting for his 12th goal in just seven caps.

This is starting to mirror the situation of another player in europe with similar familiarities going on in the pursuit of signing him.

An interesting 7 days ahead if you ask me.
