DakotaVilla Posted August 31, 2023 Share Posted August 31, 2023 (edited) Because of how limited he is as a manager he can only manage kids that he has brought through from U21s or that have emerged since he became England manager or the original XI that did well for him e.g. Maguire and Henderson. Any other professional with no loyalty towards him would clearly see him for the glorified PE teacher that he is. We will look back in the years to come with disgust that we allowed this brilliant generation of players to be led by this gutless and overly defensive, no mark of a Manager whose only tactic is try to win every game 1-0 from a set piece or from a moment of magic. Wilson has been on newcastle's bench for their opening three game. Ollie might not be prolific but he's the best all round English striker after Kane. Then again what to expect from a manager who picks rubbish like Maguire, Phillips and Henderson. Top 4 form for nearly a year and still no one in the England squad, not one player.
