Dean Smith's biggest howler, and this will haunt him, is not buying Neal Maupay. He knew the guy but thought he was not worth £20m. Yet, it was OK to spunk £14m on Targett and God knows how much on Trezeguet, Konsa, Nakamba etc. Goals win games and always have and we went into this season too lightweight up top, a bit like a fit bird with a nice round arse and a flat chest.

Maupay is not just about goals. He's an aggressive little runt and a workhorse who makes things uncomfortable for defenders. Davis is too placid considering his size.

We should have paid that bit extra for Maupay and maybe now we wouldn't be staring at relegation.

I agree that Maupay would of given us so much up front. Now people will say but hes only scored few more than Wesley, but you have to remember Maupay is more of a full player compared to Wesley or Samatta and the right team he could of scored more goals.

Plus Maupay has the attitude that would of turned the heat up for our players cus he riles the pitch up and opposition, he pisses his opponents off.

Do you not see we simply don’t have the players? Samatta looks woeful, Davis has ability but he’s an inexperienced player with very little 1st team action, we’re playing our 3rd choice GK, arguably 3rd choice LB, Hourihane is a tryer but an extremely limited midfielder, Hause is a Wolves cast off, elmohamady was dispensed of as a Premier League player a number of years ago. Realistically we have Jack Grealish and Douglas Luiz who are Premier League players. Wolves have 11.

Yes, we have an average side, but our playing staff are not terrible. I think the coaching is poor and we are over reliant on Jack. We have struggled to find our forwards all season. Samatta wasn’t woeful before he joined us.

Smith is the issue and the damage has long been done. He doesn’t deserve another shot at it next season he clearly hasn’t got the ability to mange us. Sad but no time for misplaced sentiment.

Wolves haven’t been anything like their best. Neves’s passing has been a bit loose for example and they have given quite a lot away in midfield. This does still give us a hope of getting something from this match and even more disappointing if we don’t.

When you realise that you are regurgitating this exact line against 90 percent of the teams we play, someone definitely is. lol

Well that's an exaggeration.

But what right do we have to expect to beat so many teams in the league?
