The original fixture between Spurs and Orient was called off on Tuesday due to positive coronavirus tests at the League Two club, with Orient owner Nigel Travis critical of the decision and warning it may encourage clubs not to test players. In a statement on Friday, the EFL said: "In accordance with Carabao Cup Rules, Tottenham Hotspur have been awarded with a bye to progress to Round Four of the Carabao Cup and will now play Chelsea on Tuesday 29 September. Davkaus
The wriggle room they have here is that there is a lot more time to reschedule it. The rules specify that the match must be rescheduled before the first match of the following round - in Orient's case they had to fit the game in within the next week. In this case, they have until the final at the end of February.
villa4europe
When there's a potential for arsenal to be missing players cos of corona... Can see arsenal being dead against it Still not a clue what Liverpool have to do to prove it and if they'll include injured / missing players

But, of course they won't say anything.

PieFacE Posted January 5, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted January 5, 2022 (edited) Utter BS that Liverpool have been able to get the game postponed when other clubs have been forced to forfeit. How is this even possible? Edited January 5, 2022 by PieFacE
useless
Am I the only one who's sick of hearing about this Liverpool game and couldn't care less if it's called off or not. Bizzzle
Not getting into my opinion on covid because it seems to differ massively to most on here and I am not getting into a debate about it but calling this game off when we were made to play our kids against Liverpool is **** ridiculous

They played our younsters last season, and we played their youngsters the season before. There's key differences though. 1. We were forced to play kids as they wouldn't allow us to postpone 2. Liverpool chose to play their kids to prioritise a different competition 3. Other clubs who have been suffering with COVID issues have been forced to forfeit but it's suddenly okay for Liverpool to postpone. I don't really give a monkeys if the game goes ahead or not or whatever. It's just the fact that when Liverpool ask for a game to be postponed it's allowed, but when Leyton Orient ask it gets denied. It's simply unfair which is annoying. Different rules for different teams. Edited January 5, 2022 by PieFacE
