Would love to see an Inzaghi throwback. We need more specialist footballers. Kind of getting tired of these robotic, Jack of All Trades players that permeate top level football now.

This is why I have problem with criticism of some players. -"He doesn't track back enough" or "his work ethic isn't good enough". Both lines could be used about Ibrahimovic or to go back in time about Le Tissier. I would like to watch and have both of them in my team. Maybe not together though ;)

Dont forget our very own Bertrand, he tracks back a bit more but a maverick defensive player

Im probably wrong here but didn't he score something daft like 1 goal from outside of the box for man utd? Maybe vs Fulham

1 goal from outside of the box meaning his other 149 all came from in the box

Yep. That's why I thought of him. An absolute beast anywhere near the 6 yard box. (And don't we just know it)

How are Barce in for him now? Considering the state of there finances?

Do they know the new FFP rules already?

The likes of Barca, Real etc never worry about finances. The amount they make off merchandise.
But yes they probably have seen the rules anyway.

Yet most years they spend £100m

Most years they spend about £20m whilst peddling their debt around

"herr zorc we would like to buy young erling, how about £5m this year and then £120m spread over 6 years with no penalties for missing a payment?"

I think its a sad problem in football that Dortmund signed a player that has been linked with a transfer ever since he joined

Almost makes some teams say whats the point, Dortmund arent a Southampton level team for example

They knew when they signed him though that there was a low (comparatively) sell on clause. It’s the gamble they took to sign him

Of course but its weird for me that a top team sees themselves as a finishing school for talent. Its not just Haaland but Sancho too and soon to be Bellingham and Reyna

Its a bit demoralising if your a fan
