8pints
"Archer's shot from 20 yards stings the palms of Max O'Leary and it falls to Emil Riis, who puts it in the back of the net despite an attempted clearance on the line." That's close to an assist (Weimann with the assist for the Bristol goal too, Villa influence everywhere)

MaVilla
when was the last time we had two loan strikers who seem to be doing pretty well in the Champ? (Davis/Archer) Be interesting to see what they are both worth after 6 months of (fingers crossed) good performances in the Champ.
May-Z
He's vert good when he's facing goal. Always seems to trouble the goalie with his strikes as well. His touch is a bit off when he plays back to goal so this loan will give him a great experience to practise that. He definitely has something about him
CVByrne
Seems he had a great game. Created their first goal basically. Seems to be pressing well and was holding ball up. PNE fans seems very happy with him today

He was like Oliver Kahn at Villa park a couple of years back.

All these managers seem to want to protect our loanees .No. They might be quiet , well mannered and polite but thats because we bring them through properly and don't take on talented wronguns. But they are tough as well. Had the best physical as well as technical training at Bodymoor. Should play the best players and i should hope he is better than Ched
KMitch
Turgid stuff so far from PNE... Playing 5 at the back and completely clueless in possession. Been all Hull City so far. Only looks Archer has had is when they've booted it into the channel for him to try to run onto .
KMitch
...and as I say that Archer is almost clean through on goal from a beautiful through ball played by one of PNE's CBs. Hull's CB is just able to get something on the pass in a last ditch sliding tackle.
KMitch
PNE getting into the game now. End to end stuff with spectacular saves on both ends. Archer seeing more of the ball now.
KMitch
Both keepers playing blinders. Archer could have bagged 2 goals. Great save for the first effort and he hit the post from 20 yards out on the second. Starting to look very dangerous.

Like how he got them both out of his feet quickly and got his shot away, reminded of Jermaine Defoe. Edited February 5, 2022 by WHY
