That was ridiculously comfortably against what I think is the best defence in the league who came to park the bus.

A few motm contenders but gave it to Whelan has he swept up and kept pressure on superbly.

Carry on like this and Players stay fit from now until the end of the season and we’re going home!

If we don’t go up at least all fans will get behind Smith for next season.

Damn, small heath just conceded in injury time at Preston.

Not good for us...but oh well

:crylaugh:Just came in to gleefully post about the sweet ending to the day. The filth getting turned over in injury time. S'ok. PNE are still below us, have no games in hand and we are a juggernaut at the moment.

That's actually not a great result for us, Preston are now level on points with that late winner.

Could have scored 5, rarely troubled. Happy days. When we're on it under Smith we are very very good, best football we have played for a very long time.

They came to ruin the game and once they went behind they were screwed, they had a brief try in the first half but 2-0 really did kill them. It was like watching the old us against a good side! They just gave the ball back to us all the time, again and again and again, we are actually quite good with the ball too. Suicide from them really.

Not everyone was top notch and there is still room for improvement, so hopefully with the break now we can get everyone back fit so we have some cover at the back (bench in terms of defenders was er slim pickings) to make sure we can handle a few knocks in the run in. It's still not entirely in our hands but play as we have been and it's back on.

Agreed - but can always smile when Blues concede a late goal.

Three of Preston's next four games are against Sheffield United, Leeds and West Brom so they've got some tough ones to come.
