It's clear the club does not feel a preseason is important. I am still nervous. Personally I think two things. The people in charge of transfers at the club are coming across as slightly naive and, well, poor at their job so far. It will come down to signings next week and whether they take place. They will either be clueless or geniuses. Secondly we are, unless we suddenly sign 5-6 players, favourites for relegation in my book. People flapping about having players in place for the “US Tour”, it’s one game, it means little in the grand scheme of things, we will use youth players as fillers as needed. The main thing for us is quality over quantity. We all remember windows over the last few years where we have spent for the sake of it and all got giddy about new faces. Keep calm, keep faith! 100% agree, the USA game is just a exhibition match for brand awareness and probably to appease Wes Eden’s. Real pre season starts when we get back and I’m sure a few things will have been sorted out by then, it’s not panic stations at all yet, chill people chill, we just warming up.
