It’s a valid point and one I’ve discussed with a few other fans. This set of players is atrocious and ultimately they know they won’t be here next season so why even try? Majority don’t really care about professional pride as they aren’t exactly starting their careers. Dean Smith has been disappointing too in all honesty. Started the game VERY well, with the intensity and intent of when he first came in. How can he control constant shite crossing, constant slowing down and backward passing when a surging player is crying for the ball etc? How can he control us missing sitters? Constant pissing away of the ball when we are in dangerous positions? It is going to get to the point where people are saying myself and others are deluded in defense but I honestly think he is hamstrung by some of our players. I don't think it is a coincidence that the players he has brought in have actually started to become our better players (Bar McGinn and Tammy obviously) It would appear that these players have been shite for quite some time, but the likes of Jack offset that by giving team more to focus on and get distracted by. I don’t want him sacked and nobody said he needs to win every game but if his current rate of 2 in 13 continues for much longer than people have every right to question whether he is the right man for this club . if he is the right man then great , but he needs to turn this around as the pressure on him will quickly build with results and performances like we’ve seen recently . should we finish this season closer to the bottom 6 than the top 6 then it will be hard to justify his position Edited February 16, 2019 by Eastie Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
