Criticisms of Dean today are ridiculous. Could've should've would've had another. Trez, Barkley etc. Arguable penalty too

They will be worse this week, because the usual crowd couldn't do it last week and they wanted to. They really wanted to.

You keep saying things like this.  The melt down will not be because we did not beat Liverpool - not that they are particularly good at the minute having lost 6 at home in the row! - but because his subs and tactics just don't make any sense, given what we have all seen over the last 10 games.

And if you agreed with his subs you'd find something else. Because there's always something with you and a few others.

The meltdown is because of the shit performance we are seeing week in week out, constantly looking like headless chickens n not being able to keep possession.

This thread is more enjoyable once you use the ignore function on the posters with the views at each end of the argument....

We won't know if KD would have made a difference but we do know the three subs he made didn't.

Absolutely no idea why he's put on Barkley or Ramsey ahead of Davis today.

Together, both cost us the game.

Because we aren't chasing the game and need to keep the press/shape in midfield. Can't just stick Davis up top with Watkins and not expect Liverpool to absolutely overrun us in midfield.

But this is the problem with this thread. A lot of the criticism comes from these hypothetical scenarios. The idea that what a few wanted to happen would have made all the difference. And then hammer the manager with it.

Davis might have made a difference. He might not. He's hardly got an amazing record as a premier league player. It's Keinan Davis.

I'm just glad we're already safe, and hope that Smith is once again fully supported in the transfer market to fix the rather substantial deficiencies in this squad.

Yep. We need more quality out wide and a proper back up for Watkins.

I'd also like to see another CM and replace Mcginn.

We could've shifted Ollie out wide to attack the space, with Davies as a central target man. Same shape, and you can bet Ollie would have tracked back way better than Traore or El Ghazi

I'd suggest you don't watch our next game because we will have even less of the ball.

I mean the fact that the main criticism of him will be that Keinan Davis didn't get minutes because he managed to get himself a single goal involvement for the first time in the PL probably says that Smith isn't exactly working with the greatest of attacking tools here.

On a rotten run of performances at the moment but we might even end up winning that game with one or two better attacking players in there than the likes of Trez and Barkley. Roll on next season.

Yeah that would be some proper Tim Sherwood school of tactics stuff.

Watkins to the wing and Davis on to bully their CBs.

Remember with the Ramsey sub he stuck him on the wing. Why not Davis there?
