Yup I saw this as well, I was walking past just behind the crowd and saw him shake his head and say I'm not playing

Dr_Pangloss
Massive blow, our best and most important player, will be more of a struggle without him.
Mark Albrighton Posted November 25, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted November 25, 2018 I’m choosing to think of it as Hourihane is replacing McGinn and Whelan is replacing Hourihane. Doesn’t seem as bad.
Brumstopdogs
Sounds like he was very close to playing so it appears he has a decent chance to be fit for the next match.

sir_gary_cahill
We don’t half miss McGinn when he’s not playing, he harries the opposition and doesn’t let them have time on the ball. His set piece delivery is awesome and he is very creative too. For me, he is our best player hands down

He said he won't be fit for Wednesday either but Whelan is no replacement. From the sha ratings thread. Bad news if true, though it does contradict what Smith told WM after the game. Smith said McGinn wanted to play today but he decided not to risk it given the upcoming games. If he was close today, one would assume he'll be good for Wednesday? Zatman
I think if he played today we would have destroyed them. They had nothing in midfield except tackling and heart. Gardner couldnt catch him if he had 80 yard head start

Yeah it was straight from the horses mouth to be fair so we will see..I was busy getting a selfie with Sid Cowans and Tony Morley so I am just going on what I was told Edited November 25, 2018 by CosmicVillan
Popular Post newhavenhibby Posted November 27, 2018 Visiting Supporter Popular Post Share Posted November 27, 2018 Great win for you lads over Small Heath on Sunday. It is more pleasing that the team put in a good performance without McGinn which shows confidence is beginning to rise in the rest of the team and that you are not a one trick pony. Obviously if he plays then the team will probably play better, but at times when he is suspended / injured Villa can still perform well. Heres hoping he is back for the Forest game but if not for the tough trip to 'Boro.................................Remember going to the old Ayrsome Park in the 70's at this time of year.........rained all day, not a blade of grass on the pitch and it was 0:0. Whats not to like

villan-scott Posted November 27, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted November 27, 2018 He’s one of our own, he’s one of our own @newhavenhibby he’s one of our own!! i do agree though, it’s great that we managed to see off the heathens even without McGinn, we do have some strength in depth in some areas, but a player of McGinns quality will always be missed. First game at Villa Park in 1971 v Notts County in the old third division........packed house and a win! Through the 70's and 80's hardly missed a Villa game home and away. Still hate SHA more than I do Heart of Midlothian up here.......must be a birthplace thing.
Popular Post Thug
Never really understood the hate for SHA. They give us points and weeks of Joy every time we play them. It’s akin to hating Santa. Bloody love em I do. 2
