One For The Road
Not another one!! https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6292982/jlloyd-samuel-dead-aged-37-aston-villa-bolton-car-crash/ Quote FORMER Premier League star Jlloyd Samuel has been killed in a car crash, aged 37. Ex-Aston Villa and Bolton defender Samuel is understood to have died when he was involved in a smash this morning. It is understood the former Trinidad and Tobago international was involved in a collision with a truck on a country lane near Warrington today. Police, fire engines and an air ambulance were sent to the scene, amid reports his Range Rover burst into flames in the accident. According to reports, one eyewitness was on the scene within minutes and attempted to smash the window of the car while it was in flames in an attempt to get the star out. The witness told the Warrington Worldwide: “I could even see in. The fire was too bad. I was too late.” A statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association said: "We've received some terrible news that former National defender and Ex-Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers player Jlloyd Samuel died in a car crash this morning in England. "According to reports, Jlloyd was returning home after dropping his kids off to school and collided with an oncoming vehicle. "The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association and his former national teammates at this time extends deepest condolences to his family members both in the UK and here in Trinidad and Tobago." Samuel was born in Trinidad and Tobago but grew up in South-East London, where his talents as a schoolboy were spotted by Charlton. But then Premier League giants Aston Villa snatched him from The Valley and he turned professional with the midlands club where he began his professional career.

bannedfromHandV
WTAF Just days after we were discussing how he was the last player to play all PL matches in a season. Shocking, so sad. Another Holte Ender in the sky.

NurembergVillan Posted May 15, 2018 Moderator Share Posted May 15, 2018 Another one gone too young. I seem to remember reading recently that he was either playing or coaching a team in Knutsford, with Emile Heskey, Robbie Savage and a couple of other ex-pros involved. No age at all, and devastating for his poor family. RIP Jlloyd. HEITS.

Villarocker
Terrible news about Jlloyd. Always liked him when he played for us and this is a shock and just shows how easy our lives can be taken away. 37 is far too young to leave this world and his poor kids have had their dad taken way too soon in life. RIP Jlloyd and may God bless your family!

rodders0223
Was probably my favourite player at one point growing up, bombing down the wing in O'Leary's first season in those white Mizuno boots. ****.

Dr_Pangloss
Horrific news, how tragic. On the playing side of things he gave us some pretty good service overall, was absolutely exceptional for most of the 2003/2004 season and scored a couple of really good goals against Charlton (home and away).
