United basically becoming the new Phil Jones? As haven't heard Ten Hag mention him once in any of his interviews about the defence. I'm sure DS would've signed him if it had been realistic in summer 2019 as him and Mings had a decent combination going when he came back form injury. Could understand him wanting to try to get into Man. United team but he then wasted his time staying an extra year. DS then got into a middle trying to fit him in and playing 3-5-2 and he wasn't great. Surprised Bournemouth or Forest didn't go for him, just seems he's completely gone off radar as he hasn't been linked to anyone this window. Managed to get 5 games in the next 4 months, and he's apparently being released at the end of the season. Someone will have a punt, but with 5 games in the last year and an awful history of injuries, it's a gamble. Such a shame he decided to listen to Solskjaer and wasted more years on Man Utds bench. Went from such a promising young defender and full of potential to seeing his career on a decline in the last few years. He might have had a second coming with us until Gerrard walked in the door..
