One For The Road

People seem to write them off every season after start and proclaim that this is the season when they finally go down, but every season they always seem to put a run of form together and stay up and usually comfortably so. They're the kind of team that will lose games like today's but then go and beat one of the division's better teams.

Yup annoyingly we are probably one of the culprit in gifting them points each year

Last year they were shit at the start cos Mee was injured. When he came back they started to pick up. However if they're losing with him fit it doesn't bode well

Mee was missing yesterday. Also Cornet went off injured very early who may be another key part as to whether they get enough points.

Didn’t they get bought out by some wealthy American group a couple of years ago? Where’s the investment been?!

There was never much money to invest, they just loaded some debt onto the club and that was it. Complete wet fart of a takeover.

Well, they're not 'useless', they're literally one point. But it's still the case that you're more likely to score 3 points if you keep a clean sheet than if you don't.

There's a reason why all the so-called 'relegation specialists' come in and immediately focus on making teams harder to beat by tightening up defences. It's not random. Howe represents the opposite approach; it's possible it will work, but it's a riskier approach.

Burnley been the masters of draws this season.

11 points after 16 games is the result.

If you can't find wins you are going down, simple as that really.

And that's Newcastle and Burnley's core problem. They don't win football games.

Not sure why people are so adamant that Burnley will be relegated, people write them off every season but they always turn it around, they've already started showing signs of that recently, only losing two of their last seven and getting some decent results, they might have been comfortably beat in their last game away to Man Utd, but so will many teams at Old Trafford, that result in isolation doesn't really tell us anything.

It won't be easy for Newcastle to finish above them, to stand a chance they will have to have an excellent transfer window, and Burnley's games in hand don't count for nothing, they most likely aren't just going to conveniently lose all those games in hand, they've only lost seven all season that's three less than us, only the top seven and then Palace and Southampton have lost less games.

Also I feel like Watford are in a slightly false position, their last six games have been Arsenal, Man Utd, Leicester, Chelsea, Man City, and West Ham, so of course they will have struggled and dropped down the table after playing those, unfortunately for them their next two are Spurs and Leicester, but before this difficult run they were doing okay and once their fixtures start looking better again no reason why their form can't improve, they've won as many games this season as the bottom three put together.

I know there is a lot of hate for burnely here because of the ben mee (yes i cant stand that knobhead either)

But as a a club i dont mind burnley. The fans deserve better than this. Its a miracle dyche has kept them up all these seasons. If they go down i think they could go the pompey route

This is a club that booed bending the knee and putting a banner about it over one of the games. Not to mention they call players like Wesley a crybaby

Why do the fans deserve better?

Havent seen any of that tbh but every fan base has some fools.

I know a few Burnley fans and they are top fellas. On speak highly of villa too. Also the ex villa boys lowton and westwood are there.

I have no issues with them

My issue is them stinking up the league every year and somehow fudging results out of us while putting our players in genuine danger.

A change in how they play and their personnel would make me a lot more indifferent to them.
