I'm OK with not playing possession football, but in the low 30's you are pretty much riding your luck not actually controlling the game. Norwich play 'attractive' football going forward, that's that. Nothing we did would alter that. In turn, we handled that, got forward well, and scored twice . And I don't really go for this ' Kodja dependence' idea. Firstly Hogan also looked dangerous. I think unlike in January we now have other players getting forward and they could easily have contributed today. Secondly you could say the same about Van Nistleroy, Henry, Fowler, etc....any team that has a good goal scorer becomes dependent to some extent. BBC WM have just said that you don't get out of this league playing effervescent attractive football. That Bruce knows exactly what it takes to get out of this league which is being organised, players knowing their jobs and making less mistakes than the opposition. Which is exactly what we are doing. I have seen us concede loads goals like our second but never score one like it because it's usually been us making the mistakes down the years instead of capitalising on someone else's mistake. I really really do wish though that we would leave someone up on corners. It's simple maths. You leave one up they bring 2 or 3 back. You leave no one up they actually have an extra man or even 2 around our box AND the ball keeps coming straight back at you once cleared. You don't assemble a team of amazing skilfull footballers in The Championship because players who are that good play in the Premier League. You might get lucky and pick up one or two under the radar of the top flight teams but not a whole squad. Therefore you have to cut your cloth accordingly. Comparing what we could/should do compared to Barcelona is a completely ridiculous argument. Some bloke was on WM earlier moaning that our signings were not good enough and if we got promoted we would have to sign a complete new team because none of them were good enough for The Premier League. None of them scored and all of them lost. Possession is all well and good, but if you create nothing then it's really irrelevant. We've obviously set up in a certain way off the ball, narrow defense, winger keeping wide and our midfield 3 cutting the lanes. It's working so there's not much reason to change off the ball IMO. When we went through that period where we was conceding in the last ten minutes of every game.....the style of football was not bad. I was beside myself......with that benevolent style of weak Lilly livered offering. We have just presided over some of the worst footballing periods of the history of this club. did you think the repair job was like "switching on a light switch" just buys some players and Bingo. What SB walked in to and what we have now in relation is remarkable......We have a long way to go......but Hemorrhaging has stopped.
