perhaps he thought it would give him a kick up the backside? the embarrassment might spur him on to prove everyone wrong? we all know he had/has goals in him so perhaps he wanted to see if he could become the player we know he can be rather than giving up on him straight away

Yes that could well be true. It’s a shame it didn’t work, because he is a talented player, he has a football brain and can score goals. Pity he seems to have other issues.

Depends on the team i guess, Semed to work out pretty well for these guys

Maybe, but momentum also plays a big part, and Cardiff had it when it mattered most, we, with all that supposedly great team spirit, didn't. Go figure.

Seems he is already getting his excuses lined up after today’s presser.

Or Reasons.....depending on your agenda.

So you think we won enough games then? Ok fair enough I don't.

you and others are completely missing my point - I never once said anything about team spirit - other than not agreeing with how Stevo - evaluated this - which I say again is superficial and subjective nothing more or less and again I repeat I think you will find at least half a dozen players who would not mind if Bruce had left.

in fairness you can probably say this about a lot of teams.

Such is the narcisstic view of most modern day footballers.....i would be surprised if a pro who can't secure a first team spot, be totally supportive of the manager.

They all have their own agenda.

The most unsurprising aspect of that press conference. He has spent the whole of his time here making excuses for his failure to get the team to achieve its potential.

Just watched the presser. Steve is a really nice bloke. I really like him and hope he can get us up after a horrid personal year for him losing his parents and all the turmoil of the financial situation.*

*(Still haven’t forgiven him for those Sheffield Wednesday headers )

I can only assume we’ve watched different ones.

He said he’s pleased with the new owners.

Hes delighted he doesn’t have to sell anyone.

Hes very pleased with pre season.

A couple of injuries to strikers were just something “ you have to live with”.

The players are in great condition.

He knows how he wants to play.

We should be “ there or thereabouts” for promotion.

He did mention it will be tough....but it will, for every Club.

How can you find any of that “ excuses “ ?

Because some just have made their mind up and hear what they want to hear and see what they want to see. It's a post truth world!!!

Looking forward to fans giving him a chance. Oh wait. AGENDA

I've given him plenty. He was my first choice. The way some fans are Bruce could literally piss on their dogs and they'd be like well he needed hydrating.
