Doubt it. Be ridiculous to sell elphick with only terry and Chester as cbs

RDL Bree & Jedi can play CB

or Richards of course

Didnt Gaby once say he wanted to play at the back at the end of his career?

Or is Elphick ahead of those 5?

Didn`t perform very good against Wigan the other week at centre backs, or at full back for that matter, happy to keep Elphick here

I thought RDL was MOTM against Wigan.

I think 99.9% of us would have elphick at cb any day over Richards

I dont think jedinak is any good at cb long term either.

I think I was being slightly humourus

Good squad player at the very least. He didn't show his Bournemouth side often enough last year but I just can't accept that he's rubbish that needs shifting. We're far more heavily stocked in other positions. Elphick as a stand in is bloody good cover imo.

I wouldn't sell a CB that would mean we are one injury away from playing a lad who couldn't get a kick at Cheltenham for the sake of 1m and wages saved.

Why did we rush through the signing of bedeau on deadline day - he seems miles away from first team selection .

We pay lip service to young players, Bruce is saying that he's convinced that youth is the way forward but I don't believe that he will follow through on that. Davis is now flavour of the month, and before that Calum O'Hare. Watch them disappear when the likes of Agbolahor and Jedinak get fit. (O'Hare's disappeared all ready)

Born in 1999... What did you expect?

I would have left him on loan at bury as they asked for and continue his development with games there rather than being him back here to be 6th or 7th choice .

Not questioning signing him but why we insisted on him not being loaned out when he is so far away from first team action .

Probably that he wants him with the villa coaches for the first few years!

Loans are good and well but only after they have learnt the basics that are required.

Send anyone anywhere and the chances are they'll be under better coaches than we currently have.
