A player with excellent feet and great physical and athletic skills, Davis is a complete striker able to be decisive in the realization phase but also to help the development of the maneuver.
Born on 13 February 1998 in Stevenage, England, he began playing in the youth youth of Stevanage where he remained until 2015 when he moved to Biggleswade Town.

Poor old Kienan can't catch a break. It looks like his career in Italy has stalled before it has even started. Sadly I think the amount of injuries he has suffered during his short playing career show that he is unlikely to stay fit for long enough to build up his confidence and some momentum in his career.

Davis Injured

The Italian newspaper cover the situation on Monday, pointing to the statement released by Udinese regarding their new striker.

Davis has yet to feature for the Serie A club since his arrival from Aston Villa, and there was hope he could do so after the international break.

However, that will need to be put on hold due to a calf issue, where, ‘according to first investigations’, there is a fear that some muscle fibres ‘would have broken, caused by excessive stress’, meaning too much exertion.

It’s explained that this happened during some running drills ‘precisely to evaluate the physical conditions of the new arrivals’.

They point out the player certainly didn’t arrive from Aston Villa ‘in good shape’, and it was understood he would need a good month to get back to fitness.

This plan has now been ‘ruined due to this injury’, and they will now have to ‘evaluate the conditions’ of his left calf nearly ‘every day’, with the belief he could be out until potentially November.

At this point it's time to stop saying can't catch a break and come to the conclusion that this is just genetics and he is predisposed to injuries.

Yeah sadly it looks like his body isn’t capable of holding up to the rigours and physicality of playing professional sports. He is a big lad and that will put a lot of strain on his body especially in a sport like football which relies on explosive speed and turns. I had hoped a change of lifestyle and climate may work out for him. Unfortunately It is looking less and less likely for him now.

So he didn’t arrive in good shape? I fully understand lack of match sharpness, but surely he should have been in a decent physical condition?

So he should have been training normally to a high standard, he passed a medical, but done his calf taking part in some running drills?

So is this an Aston Villa issue not looking after a player, a Keinan Davis/body issue, or new club issue pushing him too hard?

There aren't a lot of players with Keinan's body type that go long without injuries. Think he would have benefited from losing some weight and losing some of that hold up ability for longevity.

Think to when Gabby put on weight (actual muscle not the flabby he is now) and was never the same afterwards.

Struggling to think of a modern analog to Keinan that had a long career with his style and body type.

Reece James another one that put on a lot of muscle and has been perpetually injured.

68kg can't be the real weight for Keinan. Hell I'm 68kg and I'm built like a rail.

Just going by google search, but not sure if accurate. The point about weight is a little moot though in that he should be managed well by professionals and plenty of other players who appear to carry more weight seem to have less injuries?

I just wonder if it’s a club not managing him well enough or is it a Keinan issue?
