so hopefully another by-election incoming

I only just realised that there's one this week! It's a Labour win nothing burger much like Chester but hey ho

Windsor is in the range that the LibDems could just about manage to pull it out of the bag again but I suspect that bankruptcy isn't quite the same motivator to shift votes in the numbers required as porn in the commons and just outright corruption

Bankruptcy disqualifies somebody from being an MP, so hopefully another by-election incoming.

I don't think that's necessarily the case any more having had a quick look. It seems they need to have had a BRO against them which disqualifies them immediately - it used to be 6 months after any order if they couldn't get in annulled.

I imagine he wouldn't be famous enough to turn on the Christmas lights in his own constituency, let alone be approached for prime-time television.

He was supposedly a multimillionaire with an 8-figure net worth, so it's interesting to see he's been bankrupted by debts of £1.7m.

He sold a £9.5m property in Westminster in 2018, and owns a £4.5m property in Old Windsor. He must have done something really stupid to get in this situation...

Across seven general elections since the seat was created in 1997 they'd never got lower than 27%.
