Just remembered Viktor Johansson, there was a certain amount of sadness caused by the non-fulfilment of our hopes for him when he left, still at Leicester but never played for their first team and is out of contract next month, he's actually more than a year younger than Sarkić.

Looks to me like the ball is in our court a bit now. We've offered to extend his contract, but he's planning to leave, because he doesn't see a future with us. It's for us to persuade him otherwise (if that's still possible and if the club see it that way) or to accept that we've lost him and any potential future fee.

Sorry to see him go - had high hopes for him. However we can't keep all the players - we have trust the club's judgement.

Doesnt help that goalkeepers a specialist position, if a young outfield player you can always try move to another position for game time

exactly that, there's only 1 of them per game, they don't get fatigued and they are maybe more confidence based than any other position so they don't even tend to be rotated, when was the last time you saw a GK subbed in the 80th minute to give the youngster on the bench some minutes? doesn't happen anywhere in football

Heaton, Steer, Reina, Nyland, Kalinić, and we've also got Ákos Onódi, Jamie Searle and Sinisalo coming through, all of whom were trainng with the first team before lockdown accordinig to Cutler.

He’s the one I actually thought we’d push the most as seemed to be doing well in Scotland and getting international recognition. Looks like we’ve offered a contract, can’t really blame him for wanting to get first team football.

Reina is on loan, Kalinic is going, Heaton is getting towards the end of his career, Steer and Nyland are back ups so I think its worth trying to keep Sarkic for another seaon as he has potential.

If Heaton gets back fit he has about 4 years left, Steer and Nyland are good backups. Unfortunately Sarkic is better off moving on for his own career

I'd probably look to sell Nyland given his stock is higher now than this time last season.

Heaton, Steer and Sarkic for next season and I'd say to Matjia with the regular injuries those two get you'll be getting games next season.

If he's desperate to play week in week out as he seems then fair enough and we just keep the regular three.

Had a look on Molineux mix to see what they make of the link and there's a poll on there asking who they'd rather win in our game against Sheffield United, why on earth would they need to ask that question.

Well Sheffield United go over them if they beat us. It must be a tough decision for them :D

They don't normally have these polls, it's because they've got it into their heads that we're some kind of arch enemies of theirs so they have to question if they'd rather we lost despite it benefitting them if we won. When they weren't very good they didn't want a rivalry, and I'm sure if they revert back to their former selves they'll forget about us again.

I think it would be a mistake if he goes. We are pinning our hopes on Heaton, Nyland, Kalinic and Steer. Steer is the youngest at 27. I don't think any of them are PL quality. So much deadwood. We will probably have to buy in a keeper of Sarkic's age.
