Don't think Lambert will change much from the winning team, with Sanchez and Cole's fitness levels in doubt a bit.  I expect

                         Guzan

Hutton Senderos  Vlaar  Cissokho

                Westwood/Sanchez

N'Zogbia                               Delph

                Richardson

           Weimann

                             Gabby

With Cole, Sanchez and Grealish all coming on at some point for Zog, Gabby and Westwood.

I'd like to see:

                          Guzan

Hutton     Senderos     Vlaar         Cissokho

           Sanchez           Delph

N'Zogbia            Cole               Grealish

                   Weimann

Looking forward to this.

Head says 1-1. Heart says 2-1 Villa.

We should be beating teams like Newcastle at home and although they played well v Man City, I don't think their team is as good as it has been the last couple of seasons. Plus we owe them for doing the double over us last season!

Maybe it's just what I've gotten used to these last few years, but I can see us losing today.

I hope not as things have been quite positive the last couple of weeks with a couple of decent signings, the CEO appointment and last weeks unexpected win away at Stoke, but just got that sinking feeling.

I would start Sanchez if he is fit, not sure who in place of though.

I remember after the Arsenal game last season when we played magnificently, that we had Newcastle at home next (I think) and we played absolute sh*t.

We have just gone to Stoke, played magnificently, and now we have Newcastle at home. They didn't look too shabby against Man City, who are going to thrash a lot of teams this season.

I'd take a point; three would be nice due to our run of games coming up, but I'm kind of bracing myself for a loss. We rarely play two good games in a row under Lambert.

I think we've been slightly unlucky against Newcastle at home in recent seasons.

The difference has been 1 or 2 stand out players in their team mainly Cabaye and Ben Arfa.Match winners basically. Players that we haven't had for years.

They have never outplayed us I don't think and we dominated the second half last year but couldn't claw it back.

I'd like a strong start get them on the back foot and give Cabella zero room to run at us and we've got a decent chance.

Cissokho/Cabella will be a key battle.

I'm going 1-1

They seem to have been a bit of a bogey team for us since we sent them down. I think they still have better players than us, but less of a gap than there has been over the last few years.

Got a feeling it could be 0-1.
