Metallica were absolutely amazing! I hate festivals but watching that performance tonight made me want to be there! What an awesome set.

Id love to know the music tastes of those that dislike them - not 'Justin Timberlake' enough for you eh? ;)

Having a quick look at the line ups, I'd have made an effort to see:

Arcade Fire

De La Soul

Elbow

Dolly Parton

Kelis

Interpol

Blondie

Pixies

Massive Attack

Sam Smith

Jurassic 5

Bryan Ferry

Mogwai

Jimi Goodwin

Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott

Billy Bragg

Richie Hawtin

Never saw metallica last night but my grandad said they were good, I like metallica. Don't listen to them that often these days but they are my favourite out of all the metal bands like megadeth, maiden, slayer, etc. Infact I dont even like slayer, got one album of theirs but don't like them. But anyone who does not like heavy music will hate metallica, all of them are top musicians apart from maybe lars. Gutted I missed them and plant, plant has always been a bit of an hippie.

The Daptone Super Soul Revue is worth looking out for on the iPlayer. Been watching some of their set. Bloody brilliant.

Watching the full set now online. V impressive so far.

Metal is just too angry, man. Chill out, life it isn't all that bad.

life was that bad if you were brought up in post war aston. I love all this peace and happiness music but god I love being brought down on downer music.

Was the wrong 'era' of Mogwai in regards to the setlist for me, really. Last 3 songs were a treat though.

Metallica set list was alright, Pixies without Kim Deal was good. That is all I've watched.

Having not had a quick look at the line ups, I'd have made an effort to see;

GG Allin

Atrax Morgue

DJ sharpnel

Kate Bush

Nobuo Uematsu

Throbbing Gristle

The Specials

Pixies with Kim Deal

Mogwai if they ended set with a 10 minute wall of noise dedicated to Celtic FC

Oasis

Wand Erection

Saetia

Insect Warfare

Limpid improv spoken word performance

Propagandhi

Del La Soul

Nitin Sawhney

Daptones Super Soul Review

Dolly

Jurassic 5

Public Service Broadcasting

John Grant

The Selecter

Emiliana Torrini

Ms. Dynamite

Think that's about all I'd make an effort to see but I think that's more because I'm so out of touch than anything. I bet if I did some homework, there'd probably be loads of bands I'd enjoy.
