But Cyndi Lauper elected to go against the grain and try and reinvent the meaning. Whether positive or negative, it translates as "showing who they really are", so in the Lauper example she's extolling the virtues of a lover who would seemingly hide their light under a bushel in normal circumstances. Thanks for listening to my TED talk. 1
Mark Albrighton Posted April 18, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted April 18, 2021 When I google “Villa Talk”, for whatever reason, this site is now second on the list of suggestions, behind a song by someone called “Lord Cartel and Bgnrly”. Further reading tells me this song appeared on their 2020 album “Eye Drops 2” and appears to be hip hop. In fact, searching YouTube further for “Villa Talk” brings up a couple of other songs, again both seem to be hip hop.

Currently on offer at Sainsbury's for £1.50. They're good but the beef flavours even better.

Xela
My folks are suffering with a bit of a flying ant problem at the minute. I had a profanity laced text from my Dad about it the other day.

Still, good to hear about another ant noticer.

Mark Albrighton Posted August 6, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted August 6, 2021 My eyebrows are slowly becoming more unkempt. We’re not talking similar to the brothers Gallagher. But it seems like every week I look in the mirror and there’s a single hair that has decided to grow noticeably longer than the others while also breaking rank to go on it’s own trajectory.
