  1. Botham just said on Sky when looking at the England scorecard, ''it's like an overseas telephone number''
  2. i really can't believe what i'm watching.....
  3. another pathetic shot from Denly.....ffs 45/5 - 134 behind, shocking.... we will be doing well to get to 100
  4. Dreadful batting and with it a total lack of discipline. wtf happens to them when they take to the crease as all of the coaching techniques, the assessments of the bowlers, conditions etc all go out of the window when they get to the middle. Pathetic. The selectors have a lot to answer for, they have accommodated the ''stars'' from the one day world cup winning team. Most of which have not played any red ball cricket for a long time. Add that to the playing order and that tells me they are also culpable. We now have it all to do just to save a draw !!!!!
  5. I'm in the market for a new driveway and have been searching the internet for some local companies to get some quotes etc and came across this on their website !!!!! Needless so say i won't be getting a quote of this lot.......
  6. well, wasnt expecting Elmo and Taylor.....cant say i'm over happy about that but hey, it is what it is.... Dean must have his reasons and therefore, whilst i'm not happy about it, i keep the faith....utv
  7. I Like Totti, especially when the sun shines
  8. I've been there for the first 3 days. Day 1 on my own and day2/3 with a pal. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere and an amazing spectacle. At Edgbaston you can only pay using your card. Checked my account and spent £198. Took my own food. @ £25 a ticket I'm off there tomorrow as well. Going on my own, but I havent told my liver yet though.
  9. I Purchased 3 memberships and 3 Bournemouth tickets (seated together in Upper Trinity 4 rows from the front in A7). As a non season ticket holder i think it will be the only way to get ticket. With 30k season ticket holders and however many members, i think very few games will go to general sale, and the ones that do there will not be too many tickets available. This is the only real benefit i can see for being a member. I was down VP on Saturday and i have never seen it so busy in the close season as it was. The feel good factor is incredible, far greater than the MON/Lerner period. The club shop and ticket office was rammed. As an aside, it was great to see so many young kids their getting new shirts etc. The next generation of support.
  10. It's not just on social media.... I would love to be able to get a ticket for this but i've got as much chance a finding some rocking horse shit. I'm not a season ticket holder or club member. The chances of these going on general sale are zero/zip as it will be for every away match. But you have to say that the club are rewarding the 'faithful' the ones that have been week in week out. Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday night to some god forsaken shithole where you dont get back home until whatever time. Fair play to them because they have done this for many years. Even when we were shit we sold out of the away allocation. As much as it is not right, maybe they feel they have a right to be smug and feel elite, maybe. Just a thought.
  11. I'm a sour loser. I don't want anybody from the opposition telling me 'England played well and should hold their heads high'' with a smug smile on her face. Thats why.
  12. The BBC coverage it shite. wtf is an American doing on the so called panel of experts. Bla bla bla bull shit. Doing my head in big time.
  13. I don't think turning your back is the right thing to do and as has been mentioned is childish and makes them a bunch of words removed !!!! But, imo, this also makes this lot a bunch of children and words removed, but strangely enough this is getting now where near the coverage in the press/media. I suppose this is what brexit has made of politics and our politicians today !!!!!
  14. I Had about 6 pints of this on draught last night at the Digbeth Dining Club Nice....
  15. I went to Digbeth Dining Club last night and had food from the ribman https://theribman.co.uk/ Great tasting food but jeez the Holy F**K sauce is so hot. Took the lining off my tongue. Even so i was daft enough to buy a bottle of it for this afternoons BBQ. I do like the DDC but do find some of the food there a tad on the expensive side. But heh there you go. For a different night out It's worth a trip for those who have not been before.
  16. Nice touch here from Tim Burgess.
  17. I'm going to Edgbaston tomorrow and will be one of the 'outnumbered' in the crowd as it appears there will be two Indian fans for every England one. This will be rather strange as normally for England games at Edgbaston it's the opposite way round. Tickets are going for silly amounts of cash. Even so there is no way i'm going to part with mine and miss what will surely be a special sporting occasion, regardless of the result. Incredible really. Tickets for England's World Cup showdown with India at Edgbaston on Sunday have been changing hands at six times their face value. The match between Eoin Morgan's team and the opponents who displaced them at the top of the one-day international rankings earlier this week is a 24,200 sell-out. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-7193733/Hit-six-Fans-pay-thousands-India-tickets.html
  18. OK, perhaps the use of the word 'friendly' was pushing it a bit. However, games in a World Cup mean everything above any other matches and England are choking it when it matters. And now we have Johnny Bairstow coming out saying 'we are all waiting for England to fail'. What a complete and utter loads of crap that is. The whole nation wants England to succeed and going into this tournament they had the best ever chance of doing it for the first time ever with the team/squad they have. 'People were waiting for us to fail. They are not willing us on to win, in many ways, they are waiting for you to get that loss, so they can jump on your throat. It's a typical English thing to do, in every sport. Article here with comments and opinion from Michael Vaughan I understand they may be missing Jason Roy, however, there is enough talent there to still do the job without him. One player does not make a team. I dont think blaming the pitches is right. The pitch is the same for both sides. Morgan, Bairstow, Buttler, Ali, have all given their wickets away cheaply playing shots they simply should not be playing. And it's not just about the batting, some of the bowling and fielding has been lamentable. The failure to chase down 232 against Sri Lanka was desperate with a middle order collapse. As you say, lets hope they turn up at Edgbaston tomorrow, because they need to for sure.
  19. Citizen Khan....it's that bad it's funny
  20. Give us a clue... smoking, beer, sex, drugs, Wednesday's ????
  21. I guess it depends where your starting point is, but If it were me, i'd be getting the train there and still stay overnight. If you have a rail card you can save a 1/3rd on the price. A two together card is £30. No pressure with the train, you can sit back and relax. As they say, let the train take the strain. It's a great way to start the holiday and after all it is your honeymoon.
