Genie
Before the Scotland game they were saying how it was certainty he would be given the England captaincy at some point... build the team around him etc. REALLY do not see what the fuss is about. Guest av1
Sorry mods can't link from my phone (from today's mirror) When asked if he believed Arsenal still had a better group of players than big-spending Tottenham, Wenger replied: ““Yes. But I don’t think about my squad like that, I think about do my squad have a chance to fight for the Premier League or not. We don’t compare to Spurs especially. TrentVilla Posted September 1, 2013 Moderator Share Posted September 1, 2013 Jack Wilshire injured again, who would have thought it. So over rated and injury prone it is untrue.

Genie
Is that 4 wins out of 5 for Arsenal? Not bad.

MessiWillSignForVilla
Thought they did well today, possibly showing they don't need loads of signings to make top 4. I still think they need a Vieira type player in midfield, Rosicky/Wilshere/Cazorla/Ramsey etc. don't have any bite to them and will get bent out of shape when teams constantly snap at their heels like we did. Why does Ramsey say y'know so much Edited September 1, 2013 by MessiWillSignForVilla
Keyblade
Ramsey was immense for them, and was all over the pitch providing some of that bite. With Flamini in there to, they were hard to break down.

LondonLax
Wenger is the best manager in the Premier League. No one else could achieve the finishes he has whilst having a negative transfer spend each season.
Voinjama
I think Mourinho is the best manager in the league, but Arsene would be top 5 for sure.

Milfner
More Premier League points this calendar year than any other team. Impressive form and Wenger STILL gets hounded.
Voinjama
I remember in 1998 Aston Villa got more points in the calendar year then every other team apart from Arsenal. But it's about doing it over a season not a year.
MessiWillSignForVilla
Sky Sources reckon they're in advanced talks for Ozil. Would be a fantastic signing, but still don't think it's what they need, they have Cazorla in that position too, so I don't see why they're going for him. Obviously either Ozil or Cazorla will play on the wing though, where either will still be very good.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Walcott - Cazorla - Ozil Scary. Walcott has improved a lot over the past few years. He's arguably their most important player.
The_Lions_Roar
Arsenal are a couple of players away from being able to challenge, a position they seem to always be in as they sell their top places and get a couple of decent players in. If they get ozil in then they will still need a centre forward.

As I seem to have said about a billion times over the last three pages, that player they need if they want to challenge for the title again is a CM willing to do the dirty work but can join in in attack too. Wouldn't mind if they didn't though, it would be brilliant to see one of the "Sky 4" fall down the league
