I mean, there's been a long international break and they decide to do it at the end of it? The replacement negotiations were finally concluded, maybe? They wouldn't have sacked him without having someone lined up. All the bollocks about "the search starts now" that clubs come out with after a manager is sacked is just that, complete bollocks. Any savvy club, or any business for that matter, doesn't leap into the dark like that.
Keyblade
Instead of pulling his finger out and giving Poch the money to revamp this squad, he's going to end up spending more cycling through managers and having them buy their own players before finding the right one. Very few coaches in Europe better than Poch. Moronic decision.

No way Would Jose suit spurs he would want his own players brought in and they're not gonna do that with a stadium to pay for. Allegri like Jose will be asking for big money for themselves and transfers. Spurs wont pay that to players as it is
privateer
AFAIC, Spuds can sign Benteke now with my blessing. As Poch's replacement.

The two last games for him was a big win in the CL and then a draw against sheffield united. Is a draw against su really a sackable offence? jim
Ole’s bum must be squeaking. Woodward would be mad not to go in for Poch now.

Keyblade
Could they not have waited another week, until we played United? It would be so typical for us to play them on a Poch new manager bounce.
theboyangel
Wonder if they’ll go for Nagelsman(sp?) or stick closer to home and try and prize away someone like Nuno or Howe? Arsenal should have a punt at getting Poch in though - just for shits and giggles!!!
Zatman
I am pretty sure that Poch wont be allowed just walk into United, lawyers have probably arranged something in the writing that he can't go there

Zatman
the Amazon documentary looks set to rival Sunderland for car crash TV Only thing funnier be bringing back Sherwood as manager
useless
United won't go for Pochettino now as they won't want to be seen to be settling for someone who's been deemed not good enough for Spurs. And for the all the talk of him being their best manager in forty years or whatever he never actually won a trophy with them, they were much more succesful as a club in the eighties early nineties winning three FA cups, the UEFA cup and also finishing in the top five on a regular basis.

Dr_Pangloss
Sacked one of the very best coaches in football, the main reason they've had any 'success'. He was very poorly backed in the transfer windows as well, mental decision, Spurs will not be top four side for a while now.
useless
Well there's an obvious difference there, Solskjær was seen as a stop gap appointment who knew the club, if it was any other manager who had the exact same managerial experience but had never played for United then they wouldn't have given him the job. sharkyvilla
Just seen this, **** me that's funny. They gave him no money to spend for a season nor a home ground to play in and he got them to the Champions League final and the top 4. Couldnt sort out the Eirksen situation either way so had that hanging over the club going into the season. So they sack him in November Good luck to whoever replaces him, while Poch walks into one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Nuts.
