Not something you’d associate with a Howe side but Botman, Pope, Trippier and Burn have made them very hard to break down. Annoying really how quickly they’ve turned themselves around. That is a pretty good analysis of both Howe's and Newcastle's realisation that their self-image as a club which played open and expansive football, was a millstone.
