Same paper that linked us to Jores Okore first now links us with William Kvist: http://www.sporten.dk/fodbold/saa-meget-koster-william-kvist-i-stuttgart

Several of the Danish national team's regular players may end up finding a new club during the summer transfer window.

One of them is William Kvist. After impressing in his first season for Stuttgart, after the switch from FC Copenhagen in 2011, was last season quite so glorious a lot of time on the reserve bench.

It opens up a sale when Stuttgart want to trim the squad.

According to BT / Sporten.dks information, Stuttgart put a price tag on William Kvist of 2.5 million - about 18 million.

An award-lap primarily makes him interesting in the UK market, where among other Aston Villa have a good eye for the Danish national team.

BT / Sporten.dk has on several occasions been in contact with Stuttgart's press department as well as sports manager Fredi Bobić on Dane's future in Stuttgart, but the Germans do not want to contribute more than:

Someone on H&V mentioned we were interested in Gregory Sertic from Bordeux.... can't find anything else than that one post though!

Yeah I noticed that earlier. A nothing link really. Don't really rate him either to be honest. Cant see this having any substance.

Sertic would make sense. Young defensive midfielder, and he's another who has a good strike from distance.

- A quick Google search yields an article stating that Lambert wanted to sign him at Norwich as well. http://www.eyefootball.com/news/12607/Norwich-City-to-make-bid-for-Gregory-Sertic.html

Apparently more of a CM than a Defensive or Attacking Mid.... Maybe Lambert would see him as the Number 10 we want?....

A number 10 who has only 1 goal to his name?

What about Thorgan Hazard?

Rumors has it that he was way overhyped and not even close to being on the level Eden is. They do have a third one though, who is a striker I think.
Thought i heard he impressed on loan last yr and got called up to the Belgium squad? Chelsea have loads of players in the am mold

He did very well last season. He might be hyped because of his name, but everyone always said he'll never be as good as Eden.

He could be sold though, both Anderlecht and Genk are after him.

I wasn't looking at his stats... only where TransferMarkt said he can play...

Since the Belhanda thread is locked I'd just like to make one final point.

The only reason we were ever even talked about was because the Chairman mentioned us and then Belhanda did too (clearly both just trying to drum up interest) I think BOF called that nicely at the time.

That set Twitter off in its usual way.

The only person I saw seperate to that claiming to be ITK on the deal was Kenye on this site.

So the question is, what happened there Mr Kenye?????

I have just heard from a very criditable and reliable source that Aston Villa have had a bid accepted for 12.5m euros. They have offered Belhanda a non negotiable £35k a week.
He has been offered £50k a week with another club who have also had a bid accepted by Montipeller.
It is now up to the player to decide which team he wants to join.

I have just been told by my source that Aston Villa are set to sign Belhanda for £10.75m (12.5m euros) on a contract worth £35k a week.
Apparently although another club offered him more wages, the chance to play in the premier league and the large high end 6 figure sign on fee is what made him choose Aston Villa.

Like I have said this is from a very reliable and creditable source, however I will not get too excited until I see that yellow bar flash up on sky sports news and him holding an Aston Villa shirt.

Sun has our targets as Remy, Defoe and Adebayor........I just laughed when I read that, lazy journalism at its finest. Have they even been watching the ongoings at Villa over the last year.

What muppets.

Presumably Daniel Levy sponsored this article!

Seems they have convinced themselves that Benteke is going to shite fart lane. I would actually laugh if it were not so repetitive and pathetic. Cant believe people actually believe this made up codswallop.

On closer inspection, as well as Benteke being linked with Spuds, only Bent (linked with Newcastle and Hull) of our rejects gets a mention. Not even Bannan being linked with Man U or Arsenal :P

Good job it's all bollocks

I believed it until i realised Messi wasn't listed as one ofour targets; that made me come to the conclusion it was BS, that and the fact it's written in the Sun.

I think that we are in a stalemate at the moment, transfer wise.

There will not be any biggish signing until Bentekes contract negotiations have been settled, since any wage agreed may effect Bentekes. Then we cant really let Bent go, because we may be then left with no goalscorer at the club if both are gone.

If both go, then any biggish signing to placate the fans aswell as replace them, will be burdened by clubs knowing we have cash to burn. We really need this contract sorting, because it may be leaving the club in limbo.
