The Randy Lerner thread

Must be hard to swallow for Randy that his investment will be worth less than he bought it for a decade ago with premier league broadcast revenue massively increasing in this time, all down to his chronic mismanagement. Is he likely to sell us now? I'm not investment expert but buy high, sell low seems like a poor strategy. Would anyone pay the 60million we cost Lerner in 2005 on the back of this season?

Apart from appointing Mcleish, which was just silly. What else has he done wrong? Everyone agreed with his other managerial appointments in general. He has spent money at the rate of Stoke and Everton but lost a whole lot more in the Champions League gamble, money he absorbed himself btw.

I think as Houllier pointed out when we was here we are too nice of a club...giving shit players long contracts etc.

Why are there no huge banners reading 'lerner out'

Legit question, does the club know that we know that the issues run deeper than our players?

Because people stupidly believe he's desperate to get out.

Have you been asleep for the past 10 years. If you truly believe he's only made one bad managerial appointment and everything else he's done is fine. Then its too hard work to explain.

Yeah, because taking a club down who finished sixth a few times is MUCH worse than getting the European Champions relegated.

Correct.

Although I feel at this point arguing who is worst is a bit like debating which of two turds has more of a stench.

Way too many mistakefrom him. MON saw the changing of the tide and jumped ship. Ever since then he's pulled any significant investment and overseen some mind boggling appointments. He got 2 get out of jail cards dodging relegation and still didn't change course.

He deserves the huge loss that is coming his way. Clearly out of his depth in this game.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see Randy selling us for a major loss in the summer - should certainly be a lot more interest with the price slashed.

It would be a major surprise to me if this happened to be honest.

To be honest Scott , collymore is a pain in the arse but it needs a mouth in the media to be saying these things imo

There should be more media interest, there should be more interest in the mainstream press in what's gone wrong here, in where mistakes have been made - we're the biggest team to go down since this league formed and because of the last few years, no one's particularly bothered.

It doesn't need some halfwit who grew up in a Wolves scarf, was a huge waste of money for us, and believes the entire world revolves around him to shout out random platitudes with "won't someone think of poor Stan" at the end of them.

There should be more in the media about our plight, the local papers aren't doing enough - an online poll that pleases the advertisers isn't reporting, we need more good, thoughtful insightful reasoned pieces on our demise - we need less shouting by idiots.

It's also worth noting with Stan that he was as happy as a pig in a blanket with all things 'club' up until three months ago when they dropped him from the paid regular column he had in the programme which he used to advertise his radio show.

Spot on.
