Quote Ashley Young’s goal wrapped up a friendly win for Aston Villa today. His previous Villa goal came back in May 2011. All but one of his Villa team-mates in that XI have since retired! We’ve done to him what the players did to us right? To be honest there is a balance. Jack, Ash and Benteke gave us everything before leaving. Lord Willard Posted August 10, 2021 Share Posted August 10, 2021 I was surprised at the age of 36 that he looked better than AEG when on. He is just so comfortable on the ball. Did anyone else notice on the training video Young was out sprinting AEG? I think him having a slight frame has helped him keep his pace and fitness.
