We need to move on obviously, his time is nearing an end, but I get why he plays ahead of Tish at DM from what I've seen and I get why he'd start ahead of Bacuna or Gardner anywhere. I was just responding to you saying nobody had criticised him when they clearly have. That's why people get a bit arsey. And like I said, you were fighting a similar battle in the gabby thread so if you're asking why people are defensive of Westwood, ask yourself the same question about gabby and you'll have your answer. There is no criticism of him after the game before the big defensive posts. There was one post by pieface which really wasn't that bad or worthy of jump to his defence. I can't see anything massively defensive of him apart from "jackbauer"'s post, which was a rather good one. I think he's just defending statistics in the face of what he thinks is misuse of them. Pretty sure he's said he hadn't even seen him play this season. Technically he's saying not standing up to be counted is a problem with Westwood not that Westwood was the the problem. Yes, there's the odd OTT post on both sides but that's not proof he's a scapegoat. There's a few people who think kozak is a natural goal scorer but it would be daft to use them as proof that this is a view the majority of fans hold. I agree. I didn't understand why you were making a point about Lerner in response to @Keyblade suggesting players need to be judged on their merits.
