Vlaar really isn't the first to blame in that goal.

Firstly, what the hell was KEA doing? Secondly, Lowton has to be stronger.

Will Vlaar be the defensive scapegoat this year?

Again it was a contribution of errors

KEA - Lowton (who was a tad unfortunate imo to have it bounce off his leg) - Okore/Vlaar and then Luna for the first.

The second was 100% Luna and Clark possibly Lowton as well for being flat footed and not tight on Gouffran. My god though.. Everyone knows you push Ben Arfa onto his right foot every time!

I can't fault the CBs for either of the goals yesterday really. The first is basically a question of who should've been tracking Ben Arfa. You can argue Lowton could have done more but he is unfortunate in the way the ball comes off him back to Remy. You'd have to put most of the fault with Luna who allowed Ben Arfa to be the wrong side of him. Vlaar cannot be blamed as he is dealing with Cisse who the cross was actually intended for. KEA is partly responsible for trying to play his way out of trouble also. As for the second, Luna allows Ben Arfa on the inside and Lowton doesn't track Gouffran. So they both share the blame for that one.

But this is ultimately Lambert's responsibility and him not getting us to double-up on Ben Arfa cost us the match. He has no excuse either considering we saw first-hand what he can do when we played at St. James' Park.

Stop making exuses for this guy he is our weake link bigtime as he was last season !!!!.Should not be captain let alone  starting 11.It's a shame Okore is injuried.Lambert needs to wake up to himself and drop him.Problem is that now there is not much to replace him either.
