The club is rotten to the core, and it will take a lot more than Gardner and grealish to sort it.

What does this even mean? "Rotten to the core." It almost sounds like you're alleging a kind of corruption, or are you merely talking about incompetence?

It means there has been an awful lot wrong with the club for many years. Even in the oneil days, we weren't aware of the catastrophic events that were taking place.

People can get excited all they want about a couple of loanees doing half decent in the championship, but that doesn't change the fact that there is something very very wrong at B6.

I think "rotten" in terms of mentality, until February we have been sleep walking into relegation and the action we have taken may be too late. The mentality of this club is rotten, content from top to bottom until now, even the fans have only truly woken up to our plight IMO.

I think you're making this ... almost ... sound like a half-way interesting problem.

Nottingham Forest look to sign Gary Gardner permanently from Aston Villa

Nottingham Forest are keen to turn Gary Gardner's loan move from Aston Villa into a permanent one.

The England Under 21 international scored a spectacular goal for Forest on Saturday to cap their 3-0 win over Reading and has impressed during his time at the City Ground.

Gardner has been a key figure in Dougie Freedman's revival which has seen Forest win five and draw one of their last six games, scoring 19 goals in the process and climbing to ninth in the table, ten points off the play-off positions.

I'd keep him as he will come in handy in the championship.
