Amsterdam_Neil_D
As an experiment can we add a random new user who is intentionally an AI robot ? So we can then see how long it takes for us to find out who it is ? There must be something out there by now, it's all moved on a bit. It would be a laugh ? colhint
why did they change the way car doors open. Old cars had the hinge behind you so opened from front to back now its the other way round.

Old cars had the hinge behind you so opened from front to back now its the other way round. AKA suicide doors because having them on a car was akin to committing suicide. If the doors opened (which I imagine was more prevalent in the good old days) then during stopping, braking, crashing etc, the occupants would be flung out of the car. With the doors reversed it's difficult to get out of the doors with a forward momentum.

I thought that with the doors hinged to the middle of the car then if something hit the door, it smashed it shut, potentially with you in the act of getting in or out. Whereas, a car clipping your front hinged door just rips the door off. But essentially the same message.

Both were disadvantages it seems.
sharkyvilla
In snooker, has anyone been snookered in such a way that it's physically impossible to hit the object ball? Do you have to forfeit the frame like if you were in checkmate in chess?
Midfielder
Why... There has become a recent trend for people to walk around using their phones in public but choosing not to hold it against their ear, to instead sort of hold it flat and away from their mouth and with their speakerphone activated. Unless I'm wrong surely the quality of the call is worse for both parties with more sound interference when held that way. Does it make the call better or are these people just clearings in the woods?

Nope, does nothing to increase call quality. They are words removed though. They think they are on the Apprentice is all. They should have them swiped out their hands and thrown in the toilet. Does it make the call better or are these people just clearings in the woods? Cockwombles pal. Either having a conversation through the speaker in full or that annoying habit of pulling the phone away from your ear to speak into it like a microphone then putting back to your ear to hear the reply. What sort of shit is that?
