HeyAnty
Fair play to Lambert for making the change too. To hell with that. 8 games to late imo Better late than never. End of season will determine that.

jonno_2004
Any one got a picture of a bloodied Baker? Typified his performance today.
Kwan
Hope he stays healthy. Defense is much more consistent without him. He's coming up against some experienced wingers so I hope he's not dropped just because he gets turned around a couple times.
VillaGoMarching
Haven't seen a lad so young to play with so little fear. If the rest of our squad had his bravery or heart, we wouldn't be in as much shit. Much like Weimann love his attitude. Perhaps his up bringing on Rugby has helped his cause. Richard
Will be in our back four for the next couple of years until we flog him to a much better side. Cracking prospect this lad

wazzap24
Best prospect since Cahill IMO. Nothing special on the ball, but could become a real beast of a centre half if things go right for him. Clark is the better footballer, but Baker is much the better Defender. Reminds me of Carragher/Terry.
dont_do_it_doug.
A marvelous performance today. He's a **** beast that kid, body on the line kind of player. My man of the match today.
8pints
I thought he played exceptionally today but what a silly challenge on Joe Cole to get booked.
PompeyVillan
I gotta be honest, I love how 'nails' Nathan Baker is. One minute he has a painful looking clash of heads with Andy Carroll, which frankly seemed to scare the big Geordie, the next minute he smashes O'Brian and injures him. He flies into tackles which is something he will need to learn to control, but it aint half exciting. I like him because he is physically dominant, even against big forwards and he's a great athlete. Quick, strong and agile for a big guy. He seems to read the game ok and will improve in that regard over time. Have to agree that he is potentially good enough to be playing for England in a few years.
KSV
exactly right PV. Only problem he seems a bit injury prone. Goes off injured quite a bit.. probably due to those qualities you just mentioned.
paul34
great prospect big strong, good in the air and for me his best asset is passion for the game.He gives 110% everytime he puts on the claret n blue shirt maybe sometimes too much but i dont want him to change, well maybe cut out the suicide tackles
Swerbs
I like him but he needs to learn when to challenge otherwise he's going to spend most his time on the floor Edited February 11, 2013 by Swerbs

Thrice
Our best defender at the moment. I love his fearless attitude but for his own and for the clubs sake he needs to calm down a bit or else he's going to be injured more than he actually plays.
