Villarocker
I just hope that, whenever he does play regularly and isn't on top form, he doesn't get the stick that Gabby and Weimann get.
meregreen
I just hope that, whenever he does play regularly and isn't on top form, he doesn't get the stick that Gabby and Weimann get. Gabby has got away with very little stick considering his dreadful form of the last 3 seasons.Few others at the club have had such an easy ride.
gwi1890
If he comes good and plays for england press will be all over him all the time and eventually ruin him look how their building sterling up now yes hes good but not all that same for barkley their putting pressure on theese youngsters and setting em up to fail, gareth bale rose to the top under the radar imagine the fuss about him i he was english
Vincenzo
Considering the important goals Gabby has scored for us over the years he deserves some slack. If he was consistent e wouldn't be at the club anymore. Depends on whether Jack is a plastic Paddy or not. I'm Irish decent and proud of it but it would always be England for me

Dirtysanchez
How did he do vs the German u21s? Stand out player for Ireland by some distance, German side was very classy and it was a very difficult game for him to shine in but he was our best player without a doubt. skarroki
Met a guy today when I went to an assessment day. He said one of his mates is close to Jack and the only time he's ever got completely smashed was a night out he went on with Jack, apparently he is completley loaded already and likes to show it, was buying bottles of grey goose. Informative.... Thanks Don't know if this is sarcastic. Just thought I'd post what I'd heard about him. He seems on the whole a levelheaded guy but like most of us on here, if we were in his position I imagine we'd do similar. It's obviously not affecting his chances or his play so I don't have a problem with it I worked at a Starbucks a couple of years back and I used to serve the teacher for the Villa youngsters. She found out I supported villa and told me who she was, then asked me if I'd heard of a young boy called Grealish, that's when I was first alerted to him. She said that he was very highly thought of at the club and she wasn't a football expert but was amazed at how good he was for someone his age. Mentioned another player too, Kinsella I think it was? Dunno whether he's still with us.

samjp26
Chelsea eye up Jack Grealish as Aston Villa contract talks stall The Blues are lurking with Villa battling to persuade Grealish to sign a new contract. Chelsea are long-term admirers of the exciting 18-year-old winger, but they have failed to lure him to Stamford Bridge despite making previous attempts as he has risen through the Villa ranks. They are now on alert again with his contract talks delicately poised. Grealish's current deal is due to expire next summer. Villa have held discussions with him about a new long-term deal worth in the region of £5,000-a-week. But they will almost certainly have to up their offer even though Villa fan Grealish is keen to stay and make his mark at his boyhood club. That's because Chelsea are waiting in the wings and capable of blowing Villa out of the water with an offer that would severely test the youngster's loyalty. Grealish is rated as one of the best youngsters in the country. He was first included in Villa's first-team squad when he was named on the bench for their league game against Chelsea in March 2012 at the age of just 16. He then starred for Notts County during a brilliant loan spell in League Two last season before making his Villa debut against Manchester City in May. Grealish has stayed with Villa this season and made three appearances for Paul Lambert's side. The FA are also keeping tabs on Grealish. He was born in Birmingham but qualifies for Ireland through his dad and grandparents. So far he has chosen to represent Ireland and played up to under-21 level. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/398748/EXCLUSIVE-Chelsea-eye-up-Jack-Grealish-as-Aston-Villa-contract-talks-stall

TRS-T
£5k a week? That can't be right. Surely he'd be on about that now.
romavillan Posted September 8, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 8, 2014 That's why you don t leave talks this late ffs Chelsea would not be put off by a freshly signed 5 year deal if they really wanted a player. They paid £50m for Torres remember. His loyalty and our will to keep him will be tested, it's an absolute certainty. If he stays this time it won't take long before we're having the same conversation again.
Dirtysanchez
I would be **** sick if we lost him to any side, but Chelsea? I hope this is just pure rubbish as a result of a slow news day....
