sheepyvillian
Triple G fight was brilliant in it's intensity . Some great eye catching punches from Canelo but triple G was just relentless and ,imo , deserved the win ,but what a great excuse to do all again . pete101
if GGG has any sense he wont go back to vegas again, id make them fight out of NY next time
Kiwivillan
I remember why I rarely watch boxing anymore. GGG won minimum 6 more like 7 and Adelaide Byrd gave him 2 rounds. Horrific. Apparently she has a history of bad scorecards
Dr_Pangloss
Golovkin won that fight, he bossed it, winning 8-9 rounds IMO, Canelo was running, Adalaide Byrd has always been a disgrace, that was a paid for scorecard, point blank. Same thing with Mayweather-Canelo fight, CJ Ross somehow gave it 114-114. Golovkin for what it's worth needs to invest to the body more, Canelo did his predictable gassing from 7-9 before his second wind, had Golovkin gone to the body more he would have had more opportunities up top, GGG just head hunted too much. I saw the scorecards. Canelo had a late flourish won 12, 11 was pretty even but by then she'd only given GGG 2 rounds. The_Rev
118-110 was as bent as a nine bob note. I had GGG by four, winning rounds 3-10 while Canelo took the first two and the last two. I could see why someone might give Canelo a couple of rounds in the middle but 118-110? If Oscar is going to pay the judges then at least be subtle about it. Pretty much how I saw it, Golovkin screwed up by not prioritising Canelo's body in the fist half of the fight, too much damn head hunting. Dela Hoya though, quickly becoming the next Don King, absolute piece of shit. For those of you pissed off about it, here's Oscar donning fishnets after doing a shit tonne of coke. Brumstopdogs
What a joke of a result - GGG was the clear winner.
Dr_Pangloss
This is the fourth time Canelo has had very beneficial scoring. He some how got a 114-114 card against Mayweather, in the Trout fight, a fight that was very close and you could have made a case for a draw or even a Trout win he got a very wide score from one of the judges (118-109). He lost to Lara IMO and got a 117-111 score from one of the judges. Quite clear to me that there's corrupt involved whenever Canelo fights, there's almost always one judge giving a very improbable score, has happened too often to be a coincidence. The_Rev
I still think the 114-114 vs Floyd was for betting syndicates who would clean up on a majority decision.

I think this score was designed to do something similar to be honest, perhaps swing a split decision.
Kiwivillan
A 1 page thread on boxing forum site from 2008 just added 3 more pages Adalaide Byrd should never judge another boxing match again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Xela
I'm far from being a big boxing fan but just from browsing this thread over the years, it seems ridiculous decisions like this are fairly commonplace?
The_Rev
Yep. Especially with certain promotors. Of course the beauty of bribing a judge is that it's practically impossible to prove.

West
Apparently Rio Ferdinand is going to try his hand as a professional boxer. Let's hope it's more successful than Freddie Flintoff's attempt.
villaglint
Watched the fight earlier and thoroughly enjoyed it but for the result. Glad I didn't stay up as it would have soured what was otherwise a cracking Saturday.
Demitri_C
What a fix just to get another match between them triple g won easily. the Saunders fight was one of the most goriest fights I've ever seen. Can't stand Saunders a very average boxer. Canelo and triple g would destroy him I think.
LakotaDakota
Looks like Haye Bellew 2 is set for Sunday december 17th at the o2 in london if Haye can stop any more bits of his body breaking before then.
