50% Irish here. I ignored it, as I do all "Saints' Days".

I take time to reflect on the poor snakes who were banished from the Emerald Isle due to Paddy's tyrannical beliefs.

They were on the first copy of FHM I ever purchased

Yeah i’d probably go for that order too but without the substantial gaps between them.

What about your Spice Girls order?

Originally mine was: Baby, Ginger, Posh, Scary and Sporty

Now, as time moves on it has changed. New order is Sporty (she looks great now), Scary (as I know she's filthy), Baby, Ginger and finally Posh.

Ah that takes me back. Think Britney was the cover I first bought.

FHM used to be massive didn't it? Remember the Gail Porter one and they beamed her bum on the House of Parliament?

Men's magazines don't really exist anymore, the internet and proliferation of easy porn and photos online no doubt a key factor. Shame, as I used to love reading them. Women's magazines continue to do reasonably well though

90’s order, same as yours.

Now, yeah I guess Sporty would be my first choice. Maybe then Ginger, Baby, Scary and finally Posh.

Rubbish anecdote alert, I stayed over at a mate’s in Hampstead a few years ago and as I was leaving, I opened the front door and Geri Halliwell was outside. It looked like she was helping someone move.

Was kind of surreal to open the door and see Ginger Spice there. She looked great, quite petite, very attractive.

What are the consequences of not turning up to court for a summons to give evidence?

IANAL. Non compliance with a witness summons is arrestable. Consequences depend on a whole load of other considerations.

I read them for a few years. It was mainly FHM, occasionally loaded or esquire but that was dependent on who graced the front cover.

I used to have hundreds of football magazines, Total Football, Four Four Two. Before that, it was Match magazine. Wished I’d kept them.

Similarly I really wish I’d kept my early copies of “Claret & Blue”. Would make for interesting reading now.

Women’s magazines, yep there appears to be no stopping them. My mum visits my aunt and she comes back with a pile of utter crap. “Bella”, “Woman’s weekly”, “Woman” etc. All with the same dross contained within.

They also all seem to take it in turns to have a terrible picture of Judy Finnigan on the cover.

Potential of a warrant being issued forcing you to court (via custody)

could be construed as contempt

if you’ve been summonsed, just rock up and hope they don’t need you.

Its impossible for me to comply tbh. Technically I won't actually receive the summons until 9am when I get to work. I'm then supposed to gather the data required and attend court by 9:30am

Also the data they are requesting doesn't exist as its outside our statutory data retention period of 6 months for licensing requirements

We have an agreed procedure with the Police which doesn't appear to have been followed at all, not once has this data been previously requested
