Nigel Posted September 29, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted September 29, 2012 I had a doner kebab at the weekend for the first time in years, now I'm craving another. Any thoughts on good kebab shops in Brum ? Shirley Kebab house takes some beating! (It will always be Vellis to me though)
Nigel Posted September 29, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted September 29, 2012 Can anyone tell me what's the difference between a pikelet & a crumpet? Or are they essentially the same A pikelet is finger shaped, a crumpet is round.

Ingram85
Sophie's Cotteridge. None better. Sophie's are too expensive, used to live a few houses up from it and used to get the smell wafting in, was glorious. Best kebab I've had is from King Kebab on the kings heath high street, sublime. leviramsey Posted November 4, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted November 4, 2012 That's really just a bastardized take on a cheeseburger grinder. (basically: two or more halved hamburger patties, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes in a foot-long or longer sub... in New Jersey and at the ghetto fried chicken joints, there's a similar dish called an "Italian cheeseburger" where the fries are included in the sandwich)

(It will always be Vellis to me though) SKH is high up on my list as it's the only kebab shop I know that serves at 3am on Christmas morning. It's now an annual routine

Sophies Plaice had a ridiculous pizza deal which I'd have on a friday. large pizza, chicken wings, garlic bread and a can for £9.50. Also, Kingfisher kebab in Moseley used to make fresh pizzas and they were bloody tasty aswell.
