Wol.
Off to see Jay Z tonight, hope he smashes it but not really expecting to much to be honest, don't really think hip hop works that well in big live arenas. Its at the LG Arena Birminghams ( NEC ) Last time I went to the LG it took ages to get out the car park afterwards, anybody know any good parking places near by? thx in adv. Wainy316
Got me and the missus tickets to see Blondie next week for her birthday. Considering touting the Manchester leg of the Supergrass farewell tour tonight too.
Wainy316
Devastated I did the 'wise' thing and decided to save money for Glasto. They were supported by the Coral! That one gig, Coral/Supergrass is a better line up than the entire Glasto line up!

Wol.
JayZ was quality, banged out hit after hit. Looked a little bit off his best on a couple of freestyles, but all in all really good gig. 7/

GarethRDR
Goin to see Keane at 02 Acadmey on Wednesday night Loved their first album, everything since then has been utter, utter garbage for me. Still, music's subjective so here's hoping you'll have a good time! Don't know if the support acts are any good, haven't heard of either of them; The Helio Sequence and K'naan... who apparently did that **** awful song from the Roger Milla advert/FIFA World Cup game!

TamVilla80
Whats the new academy like? I just can't bring myself to go - the old smelly academy with it's sticky floors and weird smell was great, and I just think that the new one will be all shiny and characterless. briggaman
Am I the only one that has stopped taking pictures and video at gigs? I stopped doing it a while ago and I enjoy them much more. Less worry about getting a good pic or video and more time spent enjoying myself instead. Just how I began to see it.

stato
Whats the new academy like? I just can't bring myself to go - the old smelly academy with it's sticky floors and weird smell was great, and I just think that the new one will be all shiny and characterless. It's almost exactly the same as the last one when you're inside! Simon Neil from Biffy commented on it when saw them last time. When I got back from the Vienna home leg last week I did some comfort gig ticket buying and booked tickets for this little lot: Dinosaur Pileup - 10th October @ Hare & Hounds Imogen Heap - 5th November @ Royal Albert Hall Jimmy Eat World - 21st November @ Academy (was HMV Institute) The Sword - 1st December @ Academy Skin - 16th December @ Academy Orange Goblin - 17th December @ The Asylum Also wanna get tickets for Skunk Anansie in November and poss Band Of Horses next Feb, I think it is.
