Yep. Brighton have looked like the team chasing 4th place.

Villa have looked like the mid table side with one eye on the beach.

Probably the most pissed off I've been at Villa in a long time.

Brighton look like a team that have had 7 days since their last match.  Villa look like a team that played 60 hours ago.

They clearly are, though. Check their form and stats, as I said in my post.

11th in the league, 12th in the Expected Points table. So no. Eye test. I don't just look at the last five games to determine the quality of opposition. It's no embarrassment to lose to anybody in this league outside of maybe the bottom three.

I don't think we have made one good final pass.

We've ran out of players that can do it. Bailey, Diaby, Watkins all runners. McGinn and Luiz too deep. In terms of pure passing we are missing our best in the right areas.

I'm not sure about being knackered. I've seen nothing from our team today, even if they were tired.

Out of ideas rather than energy it seems to me.

Just typical.

We don't do ANYTHING the easy way.

This is the third terrible performance in a row. And we’re 1-0 down and still look not bothered about scoring.

I think Chelsea was a pretty good result. First half we were the better team and Chelsea have gone on to thump Spurs and West Ham since then.

Losing Tielemans and Martinez at half time in that match has crippled us.
