Assuming we would sell plenty of “Martinez 1” shirts right? 🇦🇷

He's an Adidas athlete and will be wearing Adidas kit for club and country.

There's a good chance they'll want to take advantage of that.

I'd expect us to hit the 300k shirts with a good season.

Just remember that the slave-crafted shite you get off DHGate doesn't count towards this figure...

I'm willing to buy every single shirt design and a GK variant. Club just needs to have 5 UCL patch sets for me.

When I was a kid you would always see villa kit on sale in sports shops in Ireland. Since about 2011 I don't think I have spotted any.

I haven’t even seen Villa kit on sale in sports shops in Birmingham over the past 8 years!

It’s just full of Man Utd and Liverpool kit.

Fond memories of getting kit in that shop in town as a kid. Getting it back is probably not something the club is looking to do but I feel it’s good for visibility and just the feel of the city to have local clubs’ shops

The Fanatics deal was restrictive in terms of where you could buy kits - they are very much a retailer that pushes online retail and having the kit available in lots of shops would undermine that.

I'm hoping adidas (small a) are happy to hugely improve on that distribution and availability and that Villa kits will be visible in a lot more places.

Are Fanatics still going to be doing our online retailing?

Also, can we petition adidas to do a church roof style thermometer thing that measures how far we are along to selling 300,000 kits please?

We are bringing it all in house apparently. Not sure the impacts on distribution to other stores around the UK and the world though. I assume we will leverage off Adidas for that.

Any of our designers fancy having go at a third shirt design based on the Mandelbrot set

I’ve been through Birmingham Airport a few times recently, and in JD Sports there, they sell football shirts, but not ours (as far as I can see) For me, that’s an easy win, as with thousands of captive people daily, visiting Birmingham for work or pleasure, you’ll pick up a fair bit of tourist trade with people buying souvenirs for their family. A lot of other bigger airports actually have club shops in them, Barcelona, Munich, Glasgow and even Leeds are a few examples I can think of of the top of my head. It may be something worth considering by the club.

Signing a player with great stats on the EA/FIFA game would probably help with shirt sales if we wan't reach the gamer crowd who don't care all that much about clubs but follow players instead.

Fanatics were absolute garbage. Particularly when you buying online.

Order my stuff,

get to the checkout page, ohh here’s a “handling fee” of £454

ohh and the postage is £4433

…a week later

Delivered to my neighbours across the road by Evri/Yodel

me bankrupt and sad by the experience, going over like

please sir, may I have my Villa kits?

You're hard pushed to spot a Villa kit on sale anywhere here in the North East. Hopefully the Adidas deal will resolve this.
