  1. I don't really have a problem with it tbh. If it's an actual '4th kit', as in, one we would actually use in matches, I suppose I'd agree. But is it not more likely just going to be something nice for fans to buy? We release a dearth of crap leisurewear and training gear each year, and it's always rubbish. A commemorative 4th kit, whatever that means, at least sounds like something I might be interested in buying
  2. This part just isn't true either. Starmer and Co are perfectly happy to be tribal when anyone vaguely left-wing in the party dare speak up
  3. Person doing this probably got the template from already released Adidas kits for this year's Euros
  4. You train them how to do so properly, obviously. They'll still have grown up watching pros head the ball and will still do so down the park. It's not like they're suddenly having to learn how to walk. And no, I don't think it should be 'eradicated' from the game, don't be dramatic
  5. Oh, fair enough. From everything I've read I got the impression that rail seating is a more efficient use of space and can increase capacity
  6. Have to agree. Not happy about the (proposed) new badge, but the current one on the kits is incredibly bland. While the Lerner badge is unpopular and could no doubt be improved, at least people associate it with Aston Villa. I was happy when they announced they're not keeping the new round badge and were going for something more in line with the identity we've had in the past 15 years. It's just unfortunate that they just took the already bad Lerner badge and made it worse.
  7. Surely we know the colour scheme already from the mural and the advertising this week?
  8. Suppose it just distributes the difficulty of matches. If it was random and unseeded you could theoretically have a top team playing a lot of 'easier' fixtures through a lucky draw
  9. 7-11 year olds not heading the ball to protect their developing brains doesn't sound like the worst idea in the world to me
  10. Surely... I can't see any reason to use the dumbed-down version. Maybe a slightly simpler version for use on the web, smaller screens, etc. But the undefined block yellow thing makes no sense.
  11. Got me . Although, as with 'suttin', I don't think the question mark is necessary to understand the sentiment
  12. **** 4th place, best thing this season is Unai's mad scientist hair in training photos
  13. As someone mentioned above, most accurate comparison might be Odegaard
  14. Depends which role he plays in really. He's played in a variety of roles at Villareal. Generally, more similar to De Bruyne in that he operates all over the pitch, and has the range of passing and quick feet to play deep or in and around the box. He's a bit more nimble than De Bruyne though, hence the David Silva reference
  15. Gutting and pretty harsh on both. Then again, that French squad is absolutely stacked
  16. Presumably he comes into the squad and we sell KKH for PSR purposes?
  17. Would love to keep him, love a maverick player like him and he's clearly very talented. This noise around him isn't great but this kind of social media post stuff doesn't mean much imo. Could mean he wants out, could be nothing.
  18. Baena has been on my radar since a Villareal FM save a couple years ago... Jokes aside, he's always been a player I thought Emery might want to bring with him. Huge, huge potential imo. Very young, and a traditional playmaker type ala De Bruyne, David Silva. He's the type of player that we needed during that run where teams sat back against us and we didn't have someone to play the killer pass (Forest game, as an example). Would be a fantastic signing.
  19. Wouldn't surprise me if it was her that wanted out. I'm sure the idea was for the team to kick on this year but for whatever reason it didn't happen. Regardless, I don't see her sale as a downgrade of our ambition for the women's team. I imagine just a bump in the road, and we will have an ambitious summer. But what do I know...
  20. Agree, but I think we've a long way to go before we can be keeping players like DvD. She's clearly at the elite level already, and we're not in a place yet to be competing with the likes of Arsenal. Hopefully money from that can propel us forward with improvements elsewhere in the squad.
  21. https://www.arsenal.com/news/arsenal-launch-new-202425-adidas-home-kit Like this new Arsenal kit. Pure speculation as to what it says about ours though. Looks like we'll be getting those swooshes on the sides/bottom, as they are a feature on the Euros kits too. We'll obviously get stripes on the shoulders too. Interesting thing about the Arsenal kit is they've ditched their shield to go for just the cannon. Is it wishful thinking that we get just a lion rather than a badge on our kit...?
