We are cramping their midfield and catching them offside.  Their three best chances have all been ruled out for offside - if the linesman had flagged straight away then they wouldn't even have been "chances".  We've lost the midfield battle and Cash knows the ref is looking to give him a red card.  The issue is to gain control of the middle of the pitch.

This type of game is madness, yes we are catching them offside, but you only have to rely on the competency of the officials......also, and its a big also, we are lifting the spirits of the opposition, we are enhancing their confidence by gifting them easy chances.

Its like a snooker player, leaving balls over the hole.....it will eventually come crashing down.

You cannot achieve sustainable success playing like this, away from home.

On a positive note Villa have somehow gone in all square and I can see why Emery wants Celso. Gave Villa’s midfield a lesson in how to play the position alongside Bentancur.

Didn’t think much of LoCelso to be honest.  Bentancur was the key to this midfield he was superb.  LoCelso scored a deflected goal which was heading straight at Emi before Carlos edged off his leg.  Hopefully with Bentancur off we can get more control of midfield

Our form over a full calendar year suggests otherwise.
