Considering the midweek performance, thought we were very good today other than the last 15. 

Watkins unlucky to not have a goal and assist today.

Straightforward win. Scored 3 in the right end, could have been more.

We were also the best chance Luton had of getting onto the scoresheet, no idea why Konsa was trying to head it back to Martinez in that situation - would have been a great attacking header

Perfect. Another plus 2 in the goal difference.  A serenade for Marv.and one **** up. 12 in a row. That was a game we would have struggled in under previous managers. But not any more. Controlled it all. No shots on target for them.

That was on cruise control. Nice to have a totally comfortable game considering our schedule.

In some ways this could be harder than the West Ham match.  Expectations are high, fans predicting an absolute hammering, tempation for the players to feel over-confident on the back of two excellent wins in the last 7 days, etc.  I think Luton will be playing to get to 30-40 minutes at 0-0 and hoping that the crowd start to get impatient and our players start trying to push things too quickly.  I still expect a win - but I could see it being a nervous, low-key affair with maybe us getting a very late goal.  By the same token I can see us getting a couple of early goals and strolling to an easy win.  I don't think we will score loads as if we get 2 or 3 up then we're more likely to ease back, protect some legs and conserve some energy.  I'm going 3-1 (3-0 up and then conceding a silly goal and being put under a bit more pressure than we should with about 15 mins left).  I hope we get close to double figures though!

Think we've been spoilt this season with the amount of goals scored so when it comes to lil ol Luton I wanted us to fill our boots for GD purposes but bottom line is its another 3 points in the bank whilst playing in 2nd gear.

Excellent performance really.  Easy three points with the team rarely getting out of first gear, certainly not second gear.  Exactly what you need to conserve legs / energy after a midweek game.  Not quite sure what the hell Donks was doing at the death - nearly made a simple victory a bit more nerve-wracking than it should have been!

Baffled, last week bowens shot is going out, hits torres goes completely the other direction and its his goal ?

Diaby shot get hit over the line by a defender when it's going in and its an OG ?  

Konsa stupidly heads it in the net, and emi gets a finger tip to it and it's emi OG ?

 

Totally dominant but yet again, slow ponderous play puts us in trouble and a stupid OG out of nothing puts us under a bit of unnecessary pressure, then more stupid slow play at the back nearly costs us another.

Donk and traore didn't do themselves much good in the 6 minutes they were on, both pretty terrible showing.

Not one of konsas better games, far far too slow the majority of the game and far too casual when he went to right back.

Should have had a clean sheet today and that's 100% on him. OK the goal didn't change the result and he's been very good this season but ffs we aren't that good we can play at 1mph all game.

Luckily, even with watkins zaniolo, diaby 1st half and konsa below par, we still had enough to cruise 85 minutes of the match.

Should have been 5 or 6 nil but 3 more points will do.

This is what a routine victory feels like. Never in doubt but can still find ways to improve. It feels so good to be winning the games we’re expected to, after what we’ve seen over the last 13 years, we should never take this for granted.

Surprised that the ref seems to be given a good / average rating.  He was dishing out yellows to us for things that he wasn't even giving free-kicks for the other way.  Thought he was pretty poor - but thankfully that was irrelevant as we were in cruise control.

Never in doubt. Should have won by more. Routine 3 points to keep is in the hunt. Got to win these types of games. Torres fantastic, but I gave motm to Digne who I thought was very good.
