No monchi content today? Hopefully too busy sweet talking ferran torres

Monchi will start on Monday morning. No advantage to paying him time and a half today or double time for tomorrow.

He’s probably doing his induction and mandatory trainings - health and safety and all that - standard first day. 😅

GDPR probably took 5 hours alone

Gregg Evans claims that Monchi will report to Unai and sits below in him the club hierarchy despite the press release saying Monchi reports directly to NSWE.

Almost like Gregg Evans is making it up as he goes along

Decoding Monchi: Analysing Aston Villa’s new managing director’s transfer philosophy – data analysis

Born Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo, he earned the nickname “Monchi” during his playing days as a goalkeeper for Sevilla FC. However, it was in his role as a sporting director that he truly flourished and revolutionised the way clubs approach player recruitment and squad building. Therefore, Aston Villa’s new managing director is also called “The Transfer Wizard” or “The Messi of the Offices”.

Delving into the mystique surrounding the esteemed sporting director, Monchi, one cannot help but wonder how he attained such legendary status. In this data analysis, we will figure out what sets him apart from the rest. Also in this analysis, we will discover what makes his methodology so remarkable with data and statistics.

This reads to me as good at finding emergent talent in the £3-15m bracket and selling for profit, less success when spending “big money”.

Also the “sympathetic introduction to the club” could explain a little why Torres is taking so long!

100% an enforcer in some Spanish firm. He comes knocking on your door, you go running

I feel like if you know he's on the way, you just walk out on your life and disappear.
