MrBlack Posted March 12, 2023 Share Posted March 12, 2023 If we're playing McGinn in a deeper role... we can at least take comfort in Emery having watched every single one of the games he player there for Gerrard, and then no doubt had several hours of one on one's with McGinn to tell him what he should have been doing when he was making a hash of being a DM. Emery will have had an idea of his plan for this game from the moment Kamara left the last game on crutches. And he will have been coaching the player that will fill in for Kamara on everything they need to know. That's not to say McGinn will suddenly turn in to a world beating DM overnight, but if he is playing there he'll have a better idea of what he's doing then he did at any point under Gerrard. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
