I’m 30 and that’s the first time in my memory we’ve beat those vermin at home. Honestly one of the happiest days I’ve had supporting Villa.

Properly set up, you could tell on the first 2 minutes with mings instead of hoofing it played it to feet, pass backs to emi done early so he has options to sfuffle it around.

That building block of keeping the ball is very simple, they can't score if the don't have the ball.

It's like we are being introduced to the basics of football again after a year we all want to forget.

I don’t know what I’ve just witnessed.

A tactical game plan that worked, invention, movement across the pitch, solid defensive shape, good decision making up front and quality finishing.

I mean there’s no way that’s all been brought about in the space of a week but Emery has obviously had a major influence and it goes to show the quality is there.

I was there as a 12 year old kid the last time we beat them at home (in the league), 3-1 that day too and they scored a fortunate deflected shot (a certain Mr Beckham in fact), we were excellent that day and today.

The way we were knocking it about in injury time, I honestly don’t remember the last time we did that, let alone against a quality team.
