Wasn't it the La Liga rules that forced them to not sign Messi again.

I am sure it was FiFA and UEFA will glady touch their toes while Barca come from behind!

That's why the game is gone, if they were a Bury/Glasgow Rangers they would been wound up by now! But its Barca, one of the Super sides. FFP does not apply to them, as they know UEFA/FIFA would never ban them from Europe!

To be fair they are capable of generating as much income as any club in the world which is why they won't be wound up. In the absence of a future superleague windfall though they will suffer for this madness in time and it will be deserved.

Signing Kounde for £60m apparently.

Football has never been more broken.

Still think its absolutely hilarious that clubs sell their players to Barca. They still owe other clubs cash from transfers in 17/18.

And that players go there. They owe de Jong €17m in unpaid salaries that they are trying to bully him into giving up. And it's a pattern with them that they try to drive players out or try to get then to take less than they were promised when they signed.

That is the crazy thing to me, they apparently still owe a lot of money to a bunch of clubs. I know they've tackled some of their crazy debt by selling off TV rights and merchandising rights etc, but it seems a lot of people in football are puzzled by the spending.

Can't help but think this will either work out for Barcelona, or backfire massively and ruin the club for good.

It still sounds like they need to sell off a bunch of players to even register their new signings to play in the new La Liga season.

I think it was Spanish employment law.  I'm pretty sure La Liga would have bent over backwards to keep Messi (and Ronaldo) in the league.  Nobody really gives much of a shit now they've left.

Barcelona trying their best to ruin Frenkie de Jong now.

Desparely trying to push him out the door or take a massive pay cut. Making it known that if he doesn’t they can’t register Lewandowski or Raphinha.

Absolute scum club.

And after Silva too

The fact that he doesn't want to go to Man United and they owe him 17 million in wages, it's gonna be very hard to shift him. Especially that they don't even wanna pay him his 17 mill.

Didn't Fortress take a chunk of Bordeaux?

Do Barca owe that money to Wes Edens?

Bordeaux arranged with their creditors to receive a lower amount in order to retain their league status - could Wes have agreed to write off some of what Barcelona owe to Bordeaux in order to help them with some of the money they owe Liverpool for Coutinho?

Barca are scum. The very worst of the worst of football's stinking entitled greed.
