You need to look at the bigger picture.

A - His form hasn't been anywhere near as bad as has been made out on here.

B - I don't think it's the fact he wasn't starting, but being given zero minutes.

C - If the honeymoon thing didn't happen, I doubt most would care as much. Pulling him from his honeymoon to give him zero minutes, not even letting him add to his caps was a disgrace IMO.

i think too much is made of the honeymoon thing, many players are called up and dont feature, im sure thats frustrating for the players but equally they will be well aware that this is highly possible but being around the squad allows them the chance to impress.

Bouba could have said no, im sure it would have been understood. The other option was Deschamps calling up someone in his place and giving them that opportunity. Surely thats a harsher outcome for Kamara.

So what you’re saying is that he is Gareth Southgate with onions round his neck in a black and white hooped top and a beret if that’s the case Boobs Will never play

He is Gareth Southgate with medals

Just quietly gets on with it ,

loved his little tricks in the second half, looked like he went to jink left did a step over drove to the right and left the West Ham player for dead and played a pass out to the flanks.

Really need to keep him and Dougie fit, these guys are the heart of the team.

Him and Luiz are fast becoming one the best central midfield combos in the Premier League.

Ollie specifically drew attention to having confidence in 'Dougie and Bouba' playing behind him, in his post match interview.

My favourite player, that pass to Diaby for the own goal was sublime.

Remind what on earth Gerrard said to him to convince him to join us?

"we need your moments of magic to assist the assister with a long ball."

Interesting to see him slot in as the 3rd central defender in possession.

Its clever stuff isn't it. He was playing cb for Marseille aged 18 . Emery has tapped into it and found how to push forward while protecting at the same time.

Never ever has a 442 on paper been something so different in possession.

You get your fullbacks playing as wingers. You have your left and right midfield playing as either a number 10 or central midfielder, your dm goes into a back 3 and your second striker just roams everywhere . What a fcuking brain Unai has.

It’s that and the several variations we play with. It shuns the “Unai doesn’t play with an attacking rb” we can adapt at any time to any opponent like we did Sunday by overloading the right side by bringing Bailey on.

With Cash playing the way he has been, it makes more sense for him to push forward and have Kamara slot back, particularly if the opponent is vulnerable on our right.

We can get overloads so often but its so rare that the opponent does it to us .

I think that people thought that Pragmatic meant defensive football. And the Europa final v Man Utd and the CL semi against Liverpool was how he played all of the time.

When  all it means is that he takes note of the opponents shape and then develops a plan to beat them.

Thought he was outstanding tonight (the miss aside). Everything went through him. Defended brilliantly too.

He has a great knack of timing his tracked back last ditch challenges absolutely spot on. Love to see it.
